Dark bedrooms

Dark bedrooms

It’s official dark bedrooms are better for your health! Not that I needed convincing but if you are still hesitating to take the plunge and move over to the dark side then maybe the bedroom is a good place to start! All is revealed on […]

Urban Jungle

Urban Jungle

Hey,I hope you are having a fab weekend, the sun is shining and we are enjoying sitting in the garden and playing about with pots and plants in desperate need of attention! You may have noticed that plants  are having a bit of a moment […]

Wish list

Wish list

Would you agree with me that there is something particularly satisfying about writing a list, any list?  it seems to relieve stress and it certainly focuses my mind and even helps reduce my never ending procrastination, if it’s on my list I WILL get it done, that big tick on there seems to be hugely satisfying to me! Anyway it’s my favourite kind of list I’d like to talk about today…wish lists. Do you have one? Each week I will share with you my top 3 lusting over items!

  1. This Abigail Ahern wall sconce has been on my wish list for some time now and I have just spotted it in the sale so it will be mine this week for sure!
  2. Little Joseph candle holder from Story North ( fab shop if you don’t know it yet go and take a look), quirky, different, I love it!
  3. Last but not least this Bodie and Fou little wooden stool, I love its simplicity and th exact it could be moved from room to room and be useful as a side table extra seat at the dinner table although at the moment I am thinking bedside table…
Colour, colour on the wall…

Colour, colour on the wall…

As some of you may already know, decorating my hallway/landing is proving to be the most time consuming agonising project ever! For the first time in a long time I am full of hesitation about wall colour…Of course it has to be dark  but which […]

Hallway storage

Hallway storage

Decorating and organizing our hallway/landing is proving to be one of the toughest challenge ever! I guess it is because it needs to serve so many functions from feeling welcoming to displaying art to storing gazillions of coats, shoes, hats, scarves, school bags as well as […]

 The Office

 The Office

Finally secured my own office space at home, when I say space I mean a small corner on the landing! Still, I now own a desk ( as opposed to the end of the dining room table!) I wanted rustic and affordable so I chose some trestles from IKEA and sourced some very old scaffold planks and hey presto! I can start organising all my necessary, and not so necessary, bits and pieces! I have already spotted some desk essentials at NKuku which I think will be perfect! I never need any encouragement buying notebooks, I buy one each time I visit Paperchase but I’m rather loving those leather ones and one more won’t hurt right? Another great find today was the hexagonal memo board from House Junkie, on trend, stylish, all my notes, postcards and shopping list organised and at just £16 it’s a steal! And now to paint those walls! I am thinking Abigail Ahern Rivington Blue or Hudson Black…Will keep you posted!

PS: This is not a sponsored post, just love for brands I have bought from.
